Production zone: from the town of Albugnano the highest hill of the area.
Vines: 100% Malvasia di Schierano
Vinification: hand picked grapes. Soft pressing, short maceration on the skins and fermentation in stainless.
Colour: light ruby with purple reflexes.
Aroma: bright with hints of violets, roses, orange peel and a little spice.
Taste: light sparkle, sweet, wild strawberries and rosehip. Aromatic fruits, round but with some tannin.
Accompaniment: excellent with desserts, fresh fruits or delicious on its own.
Serving temperature: slightly chilled but will release more perfumes as it gets to room temperature.
Summary: if you are intimidated by dessert wines because too heavy or demanding this is perfect. The sweetness is balanced nicely by the sparkle and the tannin. The floral and fruit notes are fresh. It is simply irresistible and works beautifully as an aperitivo.
